Radiation Oncology
Radiation is in the basement.
Today was my radiation simulation.
We did a dry run.
Position, strap in, find your target and BLAST OFF!
I lay on my back in a CT scanner, arms overhead, feet banded together so I wouldn’t move them, with intermittant breast exposure for markings, measurements and TATTOOS! Overhead was a lovely scene of a babbling brook in a fall woodland.
It could’ve been weirder, but I’m at a loss as to figure out how.
And every time I have to go to the crystal palace and face the reality of cancer smack in the face, I feel like crying.
So, I did.
